Riding at Chincapin Camp for girls: a RICH TRADITION

Chincapin Camp for Girls was founded in a rich tradition of equestrian sport and a love of the horse.  We carry on this tradition by offering equine activities to our campers, both boys and girls. At Chincapin, every camper has an opportunity to ride daily.

Riding at Red Barn Camp for boys

At Red Barn, boys can choose horseback riding as one of their weekly activities.

A structured program for all

At the camps, we focus on solid fundamentals of English riding with a strong emphasis on safety and horsemanship.  A wonderful string of dependable lesson horses and passionate and experienced instructors create a fun and positive learning environment for everyone. Our instructors are eager to work with all levels of riders, beginners to even the more advanced!

EXPERIENCED Equestrian STAFF

Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced rider looking to hone your skills, our experienced staff make our camps the place to ride! For summer camp horseback riding, check out Chincapin Camp (for girls) and Red Barn Camp (for boys).

AUGUST 8-12: CHINCAPIN EQUESTRIAN INTENSIVE FOR GIRLS

How about one more week of fun after the regular camp season ends? Chincapin offers an intensive week of horseback riding camp at the end of the summer for those girls who are not quite ready to go back to school yet! Participants get a chance to really hone in on specific skills they have been working on all summer. Riders will be grouped based on their riding ability, and class sizes range from 2 and 5 riders. This program is offered to individuals 8 and older. Yes, adults are welcome! At the end of the week, we hold a fun and friendly horse show so the riders can show off what they have learned.
